    UAE president holds bilateral talks with Vietnamese prime minister at GCC-ASEAN summit

    UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan engaged in a productive meeting with Pham Minh Chinh, the Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, on the sidelines of the highly anticipated joint summit between the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN). The summit, hosted in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, commenced today and has drawn leaders from across the region.

    The exclusive meeting occurred at the prestigious King Abdulaziz International Conference Center, the summit’s venue, where the leaders exchanged views on the deep-seated friendship and cooperation shared by their respective nations. Emphasis was placed on exploring avenues to bolster these relations, aligning them with the common interests of both nations and fulfilling the aspirations of their citizens for continued growth and prosperity.

    The discussions also revolved around the pivotal significance of the GCC-ASEAN Summit itself. Leaders recognized its potential to enhance cooperation on multiple fronts, with a particular focus on economic and investment collaborations. Additionally, they identified promising prospects for establishing comprehensive developmental partnerships that would contribute significantly to the sustainable development and prosperity of their respective populations.

    Furthermore, the meeting delved into the importance of creating robust mechanisms to sustain ongoing dialogue and consultation while solidifying cooperative efforts with all stakeholders. The goal here is to contribute not only to regional stability but also to global development.

    The distinguished gathering was graced by the presence of other notable figures, including Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi; Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan; Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Advisor for Special Affairs at the Presidential Court; Ali Mohammed Hammad Al Shamsi, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for National Security; Dr. Anwar Gargash, Diplomatic Adviser to the UAE President; and Mohamed Hassan Al Suwaidi, Minister of Investment.

    The meeting between President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has reaffirmed the commitment of both the UAE and Vietnam to strengthen their bilateral ties and explore opportunities for mutually beneficial collaboration on the world stage. As the GCC-ASEAN Summit unfolds, the prospects for robust partnerships and global stability remain at the forefront of their shared agenda.
